OCTOPUS PIE

Oh haha I almost forgot to tell you that TopatoCo has recently acquired the fabric-based goods of Meredith Gran's famous internet comic Octopus Pie! What? Have you not read Octopus Pie?! It is about a tiny octopus and his adventures trying to buy a pie. But he encounters all kinds of problems in his journey, because of all pie-makers deep-seated predjudice against octopi. Right now though there is a side story about some young people in Brooklyn getting into crazy adventures!

Anyway go look at the stuff! Also if you're interested in any Octopus Pie mugs or books, those are still on sale at Meredith's site.

Just a quick note for those of you 'Murcans what don't trust the United States Post Office to let you know we've added UPS shipping options to domestic orders at TopatoCo! If you live west of the Mississippi, it's probably still a little quicker to go with USPS Priority but you won't get the package brought to you in that brown truck. Up next -- Fedex for International orders? May-be!

And, as with Express shipping options, when you place an order with UPS shipping it gets prioritized higher and therefore ships out faster.

Deloreans, Bats, and Frenching

Say what you will about the deranged Saskatchewan hillbillies that carve White Ninja Comics nightly into the tanned flesh of a moose, they know how to make an "awesome" t-shirt. It's got a DeLorean with bats flying out of it. It is a pre-order.

Matched with their other shirts, which include a tiger shooting a machine gun and a bear driving a tank, and you've got almost half a week's worth of t-shirts that will make other people wonder what the point of it all is.

Their other new shirt has White Ninja making out with what seems like a regular girl. What you don't know is the girl is dying, and it is her last wish to make out with White Ninja. What you are witnessing is something that is so beautiful.

Dresden Codak Baby Hob Day

To Celebrate the completion of Aaron Diaz's comic repsentation of the gestational cycle of the Earth-Fetus, we have this new shirt, Baby Hob. It's available in multiple colors only through the pre-order cycle so, you know, hey.

In addition we're clearing out the Transhuman Evolution shirts as well and also, too. Word around the campfire is Aaron is working on a new version of this to more accurately reflect the whole idea going on with this thing, but those could be just words and this could be just a sentence. Nevertheless, the time to get that thing is almost gone.

Aaron's got some prints (finally) coming soon too, we'll be sure to let you know when they come out.

How are you supposed to pronounce TopatoCo? It used to bother us because nobody ever said it right but now it's just kind of funny.

Oh holy crud it's been a while since I sent one of these out, I'm sorry! There are so many new things, here is a sampling!

The Wondermark Store

There are so many good things in the Wondermark Store! If you haven't read Wondermark before you should. It is so funny that it's in The Onion! But then they also run that weird comic that nobody likes.

T-Rex's Busy Day

The Dinosaur comics T-Rex's Busy Day shirt has just arrived and is shipping today! We've got another batch coming too so it'll be fully in stock later this week. That zany T-rex is always getting into some kind of mess!

Anarchist Librarian and Rogues of Wool

Chris Baldwin's new things for that Anarchist Librarian that is always knitting in your life (you). Also at this point it should be obvious that I have no idea how to align these images correctly.

That's enough for one day. We'll send another one out tomorrow.

One of the things we've been working on at TopatoCo is adding extra shipping stations here on a shared, secure database thinger. This should speed things up a bit. Also we think we've finally got the whole system where you get charged for things when they actually ship is working. We hope. And we've been ordering shirt sizes in much greater quantities now so you'll be seeing that little "reprinting" status a bit less often.

Secret Clearance Items

Since you're on the list, you get first crack at the SECRET CLEARANCE ITEMS! Pictures of them are over there. A new "I Am Made of Poison" shirt is in the works and those are the last of the 2007 models.

Things are so much easier when there's just one color of shirt, so there's the Not a Doctor shirt in Charcoal for you!

Same with good old Doctor Monkey! He knows what you did and he told his ex-wife!

Little Gamers, Softa, Compromise, Connecticon

New Little Gamers Things

There are new additions to the Little Gamers Store, including some of Pontus' Softa designs. And the SoftAngel shirt is available on white only through pre-orders, which end next Wednesday the 23rd!

The remainder of the Dresden Codak Biscuit Science shirt on Forest Green are clearing out.

There is a new Cat and Girl print to help you get around the Valley of Compromise.

Connecticon

Aaron Diaz and me, Jeffrey Rowland will be at Connecticon August 1-3 pimping goods, handshakes, and smiles. I have been looking for cheap pink flamingos for our display, which should be either embarrassing or neat or both.

TopatoCo is basically like a big old jumbo jet that I thought I had a good idea of how to fly because of Microsoft Flight Simulator, but when I got in the actual cockpit it was different. But we haven't crashed into any mountains yet and Bruce Willis isn't really a cop so we should be okay.
