Ben's Comments

I don't remember how Aorist came back to life last time either.

Lewis's Notes

Gotcha!

Ben's Comments

OK, I was going to save these for after the election, but I just can't
hold back that long. Here are some AMAZING anagrams of the vice
presidential candidates (well, anagrams of their names):

Sarah Plain

Joe In Bed

Lewis's Notes

Wow, Ben, way to politicize our comic.

Strip #347

Ben's Comments

Now we see the dangers inherent in having a Labor Day sale. If only
someone had been there to warn Furniture Store Guy.

Lewis's Notes

LORD TERROR'S FURNITURE STORE IS ACTUALLY QUITE WELL ARRANGED, WITH THE
MORE POPULAR ITEMS ON TOP OF THE PILE FOR EASIER ACCESS.

I wrote Lewis's comments today after
accidentally hitting caps lock.

Strip #346

Ben's Comments

Do you like webcomics? If you answered "yes," you should check out Thinkin' Lincoln, a webcomic
about history and some people from history; F Chords, a webcomic about music and
some people who play music; and Dudley's Dungeon, a webcomic
about NetHack and some ASCII characters from NetHack.

Lewis's Notes

I think that if there is one point about the plot readers are most
likely to forget, it is that Liln and Jame are dating. I'm not entirely
sure why this is, since basically everything in the strip revolves
around their relationship (the proof of this is left as an exercise to
the reader).

Ben's Comments

Lewis, aren't bugbears from Europe? Why would they be around Geography
City?

Lewis's Notes

Geography City was originally founded by the Spanish, who inadvertently
introduced the bugbear to California by not checking the undersides of
their ships carefully enough.

Back then, the city was known as La Ciudad de Geografía.

I wrote Lewis's comments today.

/>

Ben's Comments

Check out Aorist's reflection in York in panel three. This is what
happens with metal actors.

Lewis's Notes

Ben is so good at scripting my comments, that I wanted to just let him
do it all the time. Unfortunately, he wasn't a fan of that plan, so this
is what you all get.

Abandoned by their camping groups! How will our heroes get out of this
one?

Lewis's Notes

They're not just our heroes, Ben. They belong to the world.

title="Watch out for those snakes!"
alt="it's hard to appreciate this comic strip without seeing it"
style="border:1px solid black; margin-top:5px;"
/>

Ben's Comments

This was actually filmed at a beach, not a desert.

Well, not filmed, really, but you get the idea.

Lewis's Notes

This script was inspired by my own trip to Joshua Tree, insofar as
that involved desert camping. I had shelter and food, and
protection from desert snakes.

title="There is also a Geography Lake and a Geography Tundra, FYI."
alt="it's hard to appreciate this comic strip without seeing it"
style="border:1px solid black; margin-top:5px;"
/>

Ben's Comments

That hill in the forest was actually more slippery than it looked. True
story.

By the way, I'm back in California now, so the non-canonical strips of
last week shouldn't need to continue.

Lewis's Notes

You may not be able to tell, but Panther is so confused by the forest
that he is accidentally addressing his comments to the nearby acorn,
which he is mistaking for Stephen.

title="Strike? More like spare, as in sparing you from poorly scripted strips."
alt="it's hard to appreciate this comic strip without seeing it"
style="border:1px solid black; margin-top:5px;"
/>

Ben's Comments

These comments were totally written by Ben, and not Lewis. You can tell
because I am going to talk about the photography. I used a camera.

I wrote Ben's comments today. -Lewis

Lewis's Notes

Hey, remember that one time, when this strip hadn't really broken the
fourth wall? Well it still mostly hasn't, because of a little thing
called 'strips outside the main continuity'. Or at least, that is what
we are telling ourselves.

/>

Ben's Comments

Blue Tiddlywink is referring to this strip

Lewis's Notes

I wanted this strip to be in-canon, but Ben was all "No, Lewis, this is
not canon." Remember, when you have a collaborator, sometimes you
have to compromise by not arbitrarily declaring things canon
on a whim.

/>

Ben's Comments

I am in Michigan, and it turns out that I suffer from a rare condition
of being unable to write my own comments while in Michigan. That's ok,
though, since I have to do more of the scripting on my own when Lewis is
slacking off because he is moving apartments.

I wrote Ben's comments today. -Lewis

Lewis's Notes

I have no excuse for the lameness of my comments. If they were a
horse, they'd obviously have to be shot.
