    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Sentence Served</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-july2008.html#sentence</link>
<description>I just finished up my very last day doing character art on Superjail. Ten episodes completed over the course of nine months on top of art directing three books, doing my weekly comic, dealing with production and promotion of two foreign editions of Mr. Wiggles books, writing and drawing a two page comic for a friend's magazine, teaching my weekly class at Parsons, completing three drafts of the movie I'm writing, taking night classes in Italian and Film, and doing the odd illustration assignment here and there, not to mention the permanent tumultuousness that is my personal life. Holy. Crap. I am exhausted. (continues...)

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: MoCCA Report</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-june2008.html#moccareport</link>
<description>As always, the MoCCA Art Fest rocked! I look forward to it every year and it never disappoints. I woke up early Saturday morning and hauled my ass down to the Puck Building with a box of comics, some original art, and a stack of promo cards. I was supposed to sit next to pal GB Tran but, because of some mix-up on MoCCA's part, gave up my table to pals Royal Flush so they could be by a wall and instead sat next to my other pals Ryan Dunlavey and Fred Van Lente of Action Philosophers fame. <description>iO Donna, a very famous Italian magazine, did a nice writeup on my Italian Mr. Wiggles book (at least I think it's nice! Since I can't read Italian, someone please tell me if it isn't!) In any case, it's big. I remember not sounding very intelligent when I did the interview which was also compounded by language barriers. Hopefully I don't come off too badly in it. (continues to read interview...)

It was an amazing trip. I'd like to thank everyone who came out to my book signing and who I met along the way. This is just a short note to say I'm back. <title>BLOG UPDATE: Serving My Sentence</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-november2007.html#servingmysentence</link>
<description>I'm wrapping up on my first episode of doing character art on Super Jail on Monday so I figured it might be a good time to give a little update on it. First off, everyone at Augenblick Studios rocks. The people there are super talented. I'm easily the worst artist in the whole group. And everyone is really nice. It's been really great so far getting to know all the other storyboard artists, background artists, character artists, animators, assistants, and interns. It's funny, I actually have mutual friends in common with a lot of the people there through either friends of mine who went to SVA or my twin brother who went to RISD as there's a large contingent of both working on the show. So people-wise, it's a great atmosphere and very friendly. (continues)

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Emoticonnections GONE</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-october2007.html#emotigone</link>
<description>As quickly as they came, they're gone. I got a nice bunch of feedback and most was pretty bad. Not mean, of course, just honest and valued. I think there was something interesting in the concept that I wanted to try, but I'm not sure this was the space to do it in. It's one of those things that seemed like a good idea at the time, but in theory, eh, not so much. So, never let it be said that I don't listen to my readers. I really do want people to enjoy the strip and not have to have them sit through (or worse, go somewhere else) during the time it would take for me to do the things with this concept that I wanted to. So, yeah...Thanks to everyone who wrote in to give me their opinions. Anyway, I pulled those comics from the site so there's no confusion about having a barely-started story that goes nowhere. New Wiggles will return next week as usual in the same format with the same loveably deviant characters.

<description>So, as I'm sure you can see, I'm doing this "Emoticonnection" story- a narrative using just emoticons to show the evolution of a relationship. It was an idea I had that I thought would be kind of interesting to try out. I'm not sure how many strips it will end up being just yet. Probably between seven and twelve. Let me know how you like it as it proceeds! :)

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Awesome Signing</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-october2007.html#awesomesigning</link>
<description>I've got some comics in Awesome: The Indie Spinner Rack Anthology which is debuting next week at SPX. Nothing new from me unfortunately, but some things of mine that haven't been published widely that you might not have seen. The anthology looks pretty kick-ass. Other contributors include Al Columbia, Renee French, Nick Bertozzi, Bernie Mireault, Raina Telgemeier, Steve Hamaker, Dave Roman, Josh Cotter, Kazimir Strzepek, Liz Prince, Robert Goodin, Matt Kindt, Roger Langridge, Sam Hiti, GB Tran, Jamie Tanner, Alec Longstreth and many, many more. If you're in NYC, there's going to be a book signing/release party at Rocketship in Brooklyn at 8pm which I'll be attending. Drop on by, check out the anthology, and say, "hi." <title>BLOG UPDATE: Superjail</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-october2007.html#superjail</link>
<description>As a freelance illustrator/cartoonist/designer type person, I get to work on some really cool projects. Right now I'm doing some non Mr. Wiggles comic strips for a government agency (can't really talk about that project in detail right now though 'cuz it's hush hush) and art directing/designing a few high profile children's books. These are great, but what I'm really excited about at the moment is that I just signed on to be a character artist for the first few episodes of the upcoming animated show, Superjail on Adult Swim. This show is pretty fucked up in all the right ways. You can see clips of the pilot on Youtube here and here. I've never really done animation work before so I'm totally psyched to learn all about it and to work with Aaron Augenblick and the gang over at Augenblick Studios. And, like I said, the show is pretty awesome. I'll be starting at the end of the month. I can't wait! If things work out and my schedule allows, I may even stay on for a few more episodes.

<description>Did anyone else see the premiere of Kid Nation last night? I actually really enjoyed it. In case you're not aware of it, Kid Nation is a reality show where forty kids live together in an abandoned frontier town for forty days and try to make their society work. Nobody is voted off at the end of each episode. Kid's leave whenever they feel like they've had enough and can't take it anymore. (continues...)

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: FALLing in love</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-september2007.html#fallinginlove</link>
<description>It's finally starting to feel like Fall. The days are getting shorter, the kids who sell crack in my neighborhood are off the streets and back in school selling crack where they belong, and I haven't had to run my air conditioner in well over a week. I'm in Heaven. (continues...)

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Boobs</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-september2007.html#boobs</link>
<description> Boobs. I love 'em. They look great, they feel great, and they're pretty fun to play with. All that, and they can even sustain human life. What else can you say that about? Call it a primal urge, aesthetic taste, or a confirmation of my heterosexuality, but I love being around them. Big boobs, small boobs, round boobs, pointy boobs--they're all pretty awesome. So, with that in mind, I'm all for helping them out and keeping them in existence. My friend, Laurie, is participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in October. She's trying to raise as much money as possible. If you'd like to support her and keep evil cancer away from our lovely, noble boobs, then please make a donation. And if you do this, I promise I won't ask you to donate anything to my Bike Ride for Priapism campaign later in the year. Seriously, it's a really good cause and breast cancer kills a lot of women so if you've got a little extra to spear, then please donate to help for research.(click the full article for links)

<title>BLOG UPDATE: He Who Laughs Last</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-august2007.html#hewholaughslast</link>
<description>They say that he who laughs last, laughs hardest. I think it's true because the mentally challenged usually are the last to get the joke. And have you ever heard them laugh? When they find something funny, they find it REALLY funny.

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Sex Smell</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-august2007.html#sexsmell</link>
<description> You know how you can smell of sex? Well, can you also smell of masturbation? 'Cuz, if so, that might explain why the delivery men don't like going to my apartment.

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Social Networking</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-august2007.html#socialnetworking</link>
<description> At the bequest of a couple of friends, I've joined two other Social Networking sites: Facebook and Uber. God, there's so many of these things out there now. The internet needs a new idea, I think. Anyway, if you're on there, look me up and friend me or something so I won't be cyber-lonely. And don't forget about being my MySpace friend if you're not already, while you're at it. Any other sites I'm forgetting? Does anyone still use Friendster these days?

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: Roman Holiday</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-august2007.html#romanholiday</link>
<description> I hope you enjoy the new full page comic commissioned from Internazionale about Mr. Wiggles' vacation in Rome. This was a tough one to do since the published version is translated into Italian. Because of that, I had to avoid any wordplay or puns or anything that wouldn't translate well (For instance there was a glory hole reference that had to get cut because there's no such thing in Italy. I'll let you figure out which panel that was for.). Also, I've never been to Rome so, yeah, there was that too. A lot of time was spent researching. Anyway, hope you dig it. (continues...)

    <title>BLOG UPDATE: No Class</title>
    <link>http://www.mrwiggleslovesyou.com/blog-august2007.html#noclass</link>
<description>I've had people tell me before that I have no class. Well, finally it's true. At least until September anyway until school starts back up (Get it? Yeah, I know it's a bad joke.). I finished up the summer intensive that I was teaching and have been taking a much needed rest. Class was really great. I'm used to teaching one three hour session once a week and, to be honest, I had no idea how in the hell I was going to teach for five days a week, seven hours a day. But, luckily, it all worked out really well and I think the students all took something from the experience. And I didn't even have sex with any of them. (continues...)
