I have found a way to post to both my LJ and my website at the same time using Semagic. When I have a long article, this posting method breaks the LJ Cut because needless to say if the article is too long to publish here without cutting it, it’s also too long to publish there without cutting it. So, for the record, my LJ is my LJ and I certainly don’t require or even encourage anybody to go to my website unless you choose to (it is pretty though :o). So yeah, I have violated my LJ with my website or maybe I have violated my website with my LJ. Whatever :o). I didn’t have time for Miss Pick. I always make time for LJ so this was just a way of utilizing the space. So when I do cuts, the link will take you to my website, but there are no pop ups or anything and only one advertisement to my business site at the bottom and that’s it. I don’t think most of you can use my service as I only take on local clients (because UPS is cheap locally) so don’t worry about that.

In other words, it’s just what’s working for me and not meant to turn my LJ into anything that it isn’t or hasn’t been. I will however be posting articles where I actually put effort into writing them, I didn’t really do that before… Continue Reading »

How interesting. Someone who believes in democracy is into firing Librarians for not removing books they seek to censor. I will say that I was never going to vote for McCain, but I can’t believe that he and his people made such a poor VP choice. I don’t see how they have any choice other than to choose again. This woman is “baggage heavy”!

Our children have attended the same schools. Her father was my child’s favorite substitute teacher. I also am on a first name basis with her parents and mother-in-law. I attended more City Council meetings during her administration than about 99% of the residents of the city.

We should really just give up on all the Sarah Palin dirt. It’s great fun, but pointless. With all the things the Bush administration did in his first term, his constituency continued to support him through the second term while unemployment skyrocketted and inflation ballooned. So if you think they care about the damage Palin would do to the environment, the damage she would do to civil liberties, the fact that she supports and believes in things that probably about 80% of Republicans (yeah, even them) wouldn’t go for, but they are going to vote for that McCain/Palin ticket. They love her! She’s like Roseanne only cuter. We really need to focus on the issues because that’s where it’s at. If ever they pull their heads out of their asses and focus on the issues, they will see that outside of the Right Wing lunatic fringe, what McCain/Palin are selling wouldn’t be good for anybody.

Also, seriously, I don’t want to see a pregnant teenager getting married and giving birth under the glare of the Presidency. I’m not knocking Bristol, she’s a child and stuff happens and she didn’t know what was coming down the pipe. A 17 year old getting married in this day and age is a horror. She would be a terrible role model for people her age and it would matter.

On all kinds of levels, I’m just hoping that enough of us are smarter this time. At the same time, I continue to be baffled by the fact that this isn’t a landslide with a 90/10 split considering what they’ve done to the country.

Do you believe that Republicans have the best interest of the country at heart? Why or Why not? I’m seriously just trying to understand and I don’t.
