So, it appears that I have gotten into Queens College for the Fall!! I am highly excited. I will be on the phone first thing in the morning with them to find out when orientation is and what I should do for classes and if I can schedule an audition to get into the Aaron Copland School of Music :-D Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

Dana is a mommy!!!!!!!!! :-D She had a baby girl on Wednesday, May 24th, 2006 :-D Her name is Ashlyanna Helen :)

The baby weighs 8lbs. 10oz and is 21 and ¾" long :-D She has tri-colored hair (Red, brown, and blond)

Dana ended up having to get a C-section, so she came home yesterday and is in a lot of pain from the stitches and staples.

When my allergies stop being a bitch, I'm going to go and visit her :)

It's been too long since I've updated this thing with a meaningful post.

First off...Tonight is my choir concert. Starts at 7 and it's FREE!! We'll be performing at Shea Theatre in the Islip Arts building of the Ammerman (Selden) campus of SCCC. Come to the show!!!!

This weekend was a lot of fun :-D On Saturday, Gushi and I were together for 1 month. We went with Randy, Barbara, Jasmine, Rory, Dustin and Scott to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for the Sakura Matsuri. Tons of fun was had by all, though parking was a bitch. On Sunday, I went with heather, Janet, Danielle, Barbara, and Heather's friend Laura to the Renaissance festival at CW Post to see the Brobdingnagian Bards. We met up with a bunch of people and it was fun. The Bards played 2 amusing sets :-D And I got to sunscreen Andrew's face!!! :)

Finally, for those of you who haven't heard yet, LucasFilms is releasing the ORIGINAL Star Wars trilogy the way we were meant to see them...in their original format from when they were shown in theaters!!!! Don't believe me? Go here: Star Wars

Baby Shower

So, Today was Dana's baby shower. I still can't believe she's pregnant. She's due around May 21st. She got tons and tons of gifts. My mom and I were invited to the shower and we sat with my friend Jane (who I hadn't seen in a few years), her neighbor Margot (who is extremely hysterical), Jane's sister Christina, and their mom.

Highlights of today: "What do you do? Fan yourself dry??" <~complete with hand movements. - Margot to Christina when she only ripped off one sheet of toilet paper.

"Do you know what they call a pacifier in England?...A dummytit" - Jane's mom to mine.

Oh yea...for those of you who went to Longwoo!!! Queen Letrine moved to California with her son. I wonder if Rodney Jackson followed her...

This week has seriously been the best week ever for me :)

On Sunday, Jon came to visit me. I hadn't seen him in 4 years!!! Upon opening the door when he got here, we hugged for a really long time, and I cried (I think he did too..). I was so glad to be seeing him again after all these years. We caught up on a ton of stuff. Then we decided to go to the Mall for a bit. We got lunch and then molested the books in Waldenbooks. Jon bought a poker book, and my friend Melanie, who I hadn't seen since she first had her baby, was there with her now 15month old daughter. Sooooo cute :)

Anyway, after that, we came back here and played a few games of Fluxx. When my brother came home, he took us all out to the Chinese Buffet. Tasty yummy chinese food. Travelling back home was hellish, due to the heavy fog. We could barely see. So, my mom told Jon he could spend the night :)

When everyone else went to bed, Jon and I watched The Triangle and then Tron on SciFi. All the while just talking and snuggling and stuff. I still couldn't believe that he was visiting me.

We went to sleep around 2am and woke up around 7:30 (ewwwww...) I got to spend 2 extra hours with him before he left to go back to his mom's house. He told me we'd see each other again on Wednesday.

I cried when he left.

Fast Forward to Wednesday :-D Jon came over around 11am and we decided to head out to our friend Geo's house out in Bumblefuck Montauk :) We hadn't seen him in a little over 4 years, so it was a really nice visit. Originally, Jon was going to leave here by 3pm to meet up with his cousin, but he changed the plans so that he could spend more time with Geo and I. Geo treated us to Pizza and then we went to Camp Hero to stare at the gigantic Radar tower that looks really fucking cool, and then we went to the bluff (a nice big cliff) looking over the ocean. You could see the Lighthouse from there. After that, we went to the Montauk Manor, which was built on an Indian burial ground, and we climbed a hill and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We dropped Geo back home around 4pm.

We got back here around 6 and just talked. We went for a drive a little after 7 and then got back here around 8:15. At that point, it was time for Jon to leave. And I just started to cry while writing this. We hugged and I cried for a bit and then he was gone. I spent the next 15 mins outside just crying because I'm really going to miss him and don't know when the next I'd get to see him will be. But what I do know is that it definitely won't be 4 years untill the next time.

Weekend

I had a really fun weekend this weekend :) Spent most of it at Selden House. Helped Bri pack and move his stuff to the new place. Got to hang out with Red Kat, Grace, and Adam. Fun times were had by all. :)

I'm finally starting to get out of my depressive funk. This is definitely a good thing. Must hang out with people more often. Stories amuse me..and LoL "Venus Fly Snatch" one of the few best quotes of the weekend :-P That's up there with "Anti-social Vagina" (don't ask). Heh. :-D

I played Scrabble with my mom today and won 272 to 200...Huzzah for Triple word scores :)

For those of you who went to Coram Elementary school, or who know Aaron Factor, his mom Carla Factor (My 2nd grade teacher) Passed away on Monday morning. I found this out from my mom who left me a note on my desk about it. She had apparently been in the hospital for a while. ::Sigh::

Selden House has been very much a part of my social life since Fall 2001. And now, as of March 8th, Selden House will be no more. The owner decided to sell and some gullible idiot bought the place for $310K. ::Sigh::

Now where are we all going to hang out on Tuesday nights? I still say we should all continue to hang out there on Tuesday nights even if it means that we can only hang out on the lawn :-P

On January 27th, 1756, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. YAY!! That being said...onto what this post is really all about :)

I started back at Suffolk Community College on Tuesday. The Music department hasn't changed at all, except for the edition of some new professors and the fact that everyone I knew from when I first went there, are no longer there anymore. But, the legacy lives on!! They still play hackeysack, granted it's in the middle of the hallway, but can you blame them? It's cold outside. Unfortunately, we no longer have a cafeteria in the Southampton Building, so we are reduced to having to burst randomly into song in front of the Rehearsal hall and eat our lunches by the door. :)

On Tuesday, I went into the Music office and was welcomed back with open arms. Kathy and the Captain were surprised that I had returned but were completely awesome, because when I walked in, they knew exactly who I was :-D Alice Cavanaugh literally danced around when I walked into College Choir because she gets to have me in her Choir again. It feels really good to be loved and wanted in that department. I tried out for Suffolk Singers, which is the select choir...and I got in!!!! Huzzah!!!!! :-D

How you know you are in the Music department of Suffolk Community College:

*Everyone there welcomes you with open arms. No questions asked.
*It's an already established family that allows anyone into the Clique of which is the Music Department.
*Everyone has been to I-Con. And they are all geeky and science fictiony. No, really.
*Everyone randomly breaks into song and even if you had no intention of joining in, you do anyway :)
*The professors join in with the festivities and we don't object at all.
...And the list goes on.

This semester is going to be a lot of fun. Yay Music Majors! :-D

So, I will not be attending Stony Brook for Spring 2006 semester. I will most likely be going to Suffolk...if I can figure out transportation and monies and shit like that.

I have to somehow retrieve the rest of my stuff from my dorm room and say bye bye to Stony Brook.

I will, however, still be on campus on Tuesdays because of I-Con meetings, as well as 4m meetings. ::sigh::

This just fucking blows soooooo much.
